Summerdown is a premium British brand based in the Hampshire countryside, renowned for producing the world\u2019s purest Black Mitcham peppermint oil. The Colman family, known historically for their work with mustard, shifted their focus in 1995 when Sir Michael Colman travelled to the United States in search of Black Mitcham peppermint\u2014a variety once grown in England but long since lost to commercial farming. Struck by the intense, nostalgic flavour of the herb, Sir Michael brought cuttings back home and, with the help of farm manager Ian, began cultivating a small peppermint plot on his land.<\/p>\n

What started as an experimental patch the size of a tennis court has since grown into over 100 acres of thriving peppermint fields. Every single peppermint plant grown at Summerdown is genetically linked to those original cuttings and has fully acclimatised to the English climate. This unique growing process produces peppermint oil of exceptional purity, flavour, and aroma. Today, Summerdown transforms this oil into an award-winning collection of luxury gifts and self-care products, and also supplies it to carefully selected partners across the globe.<\/p>\n

To complement their premium offering and reflect the brand\u2019s strong values of heritage, quality, and sustainability, Summerdown approached GoJute for a bespoke promotional product. The goal was to create a branded bag that could be used both for gifting and retail, while aligning with their elegant brand identity and environmentally responsible ethos.<\/p>\n

GoJute supplied the GJ030<\/a> Standard Portrait Jute Bag in a deep navy colour, chosen to complement Summerdown\u2019s brand palette. Made from high-quality lined jute with a fine 14\/15 weave and finished with luxury padded handles crafted from soft cotton, the bag is both practical and visually refined. Its generous size\u201435cm wide, 40cm high, and 15cm deep\u2014makes it ideal for carrying retail goods, and its durable construction ensures reusability and long-term value.<\/p>\n

The final product was a seamless fit. The navy jute bag became more than just packaging; it served as an extension of Summerdown\u2019s brand experience, reinforcing the values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and understated luxury. Customers now leave with not only a beautifully crafted product but also a reusable, eco-conscious bag that continues to tell the Summerdown story long after it leaves the farm.<\/p>\n
