Il faut g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une \u00e0 deux semaines pour que le processus de rouissage soit achev\u00e9. Pendant cette p\u00e9riode, l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 microbienne affaiblit les liens entre les fibres et le hurd, ce qui facilite leur s\u00e9paration au cours de la transformation.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s le rouissage, les bottes de jute sont retir\u00e9es de l&rsquo;eau et les fibres ramollies sont extraites manuellement des tiges.
