Intermarché wanted to replace disposable carrier bags with a durable, reusable alternative that reflected its sustainability commitments while enhancing the customer experience. The challenge was to create a premium shopping bag customers would use again and again, extending the life of both the product and the brand.

GoJute developed a bespoke retail bag based on the GJ014 Large Jute Bag, combining premium lined jute with a refined 14/15 weave, padded cotton handles and a structured gusseted base. Designed specifically for supermarket shopping, the bags offered the strength, comfort and capacity needed for regular use while maintaining a polished, retail-ready finish.
