Intermarché, one of France’s leading supermarket chains, sought a sustainable shopping bag solution that would reflect their commitment to environmental responsibility while offering customers a premium, reusable alternative to single-use plastics.
Intermarché partnered with GoJute to create custom-branded sustainable bags, including a version of the GJ014 Large Jute Bag – a bag that perfectly balanced sustainability, durability, and style. This high-quality lined jute fabric features a fine 14/15 weave, luxurious padded soft cotton handles, and generous dimensions of 45cm (W) x 40cm (H) x 17cm (D), making it ideal for weekly shopping trips.
The fine 14/15 weave jute fabric provided a premium look and feel that elevated the shopping experience, while the lined interior added durability and structure to handle heavy loads week after week. The padded cotton handles were a game-changer, offering genuine comfort even when fully loaded – essential for customer satisfaction and repeat use. At 45cm x 40cm with a 17cm gusset, the bag offered ample capacity for a substantial grocery shop while remaining easy to carry and store. The gusseted base provided stability and structure, and the natural jute canvas provided an excellent surface for Intermarché’s branding, creating a mobile advertisement that customers were proud to carry.
