Press Release 26th January 2016:
GoJute have expanded their team, with Angie Cruse being appointed as Sales Manager and John Sleeman as Head designer.
Based from their Head Office in St Austell, GoJute have grown rapidly in business, product range and team members. Most recently recruiting a sales manager and head designer to cope with a dramatic increase in demand for sustainable, re-usable and environmentally-friendly ‘Bags for Life’.
According to Richard Hibbs, General Manager, the principal reason behind the growth is the 5p single-use carrier bag tax implemented in the UK, last October.
He said: “Most businesses will now have a need for an innovative and sustainable advertising platform, and we saw most recently that since the bag tax was introduced, business owners are benefiting from printing their logo on a product such as jute”.
Richard commented: “The growth in interest for jute and other products within Devon and Cornwall is in many ways a positive indicator of economic health but also an increased awareness in sustainability. It is encouraging to see the uplift as companies seek to advertise in a more diverse and long-lived fashion”.
GoJute work with businesses and charities across sectors, with food and drink, retail and accommodation being especially prevalent.
Hibbs concluded: “We’re expecting further growth in 2017 as brand awareness continues to be a high priority for businesses in the region”.
As part of Angie’s role, she has already identified the need for an additional recruit to join the GoJute’s sales team.
Angie says: “Within my short time with GoJute I have already seen a huge rise in bag orders, by recruiting an additional member of staff to our sales team means that we are fully prepared to further cope with demands and future growth of the business.”
GoJute will be advertising the additional role in due course.
