We minimise our impact on the environment at every stage of the manufacturing and production process, from growing and harvesting jute in India, shipping it to Europe with complete carbon neutrality and printing our products in the UK
Our unique position as a manufacturer, gives us the opportunity to quality-control every aspect of the production process, from field to factory. Our jute farm in India grows quality jute using sustainable farming methods. The jute is then repeatedly refined using natural processes to produce a fine twine which in then weaved into jute. Once in our print studio your products are screen printed with rigorous quality-control procedures in place to ensure that only perfectly finished products make it into your order. With this level of care and attention to detail in every stage of the manufacturing process, you can rely on GoJute products to meet the highest of standards.

GoJute International has a clear commitment to sustainability
As a company born out of environmental concern, GoJute’s sustainability ethics are at the core of our values. Our jute, cotton and juco products are designed to replace their plastic counterparts, providing a 98-100% biodegradable alternative. This means that your GoJute products are either recyclable, compostable or both. In the workplace, we produce printed marketing materials on FSC certified paper from sustainable sources and our recycling facilities process 99% of our refuse waste. Staff are encouraged to use reusable coffee cups and water bottles and our company vehicle fleet comprises of electric cars.

As a business that employs staff in multiple countries, we take our social responsibility seriously. We work closely with community leaders in Kolkata to ensure fair treatment of factory workers and fair labour practices. Families of our employees are also supported with comprehensive education programmes. Our factory is accredited by SEDEX, an international standard for sustainability, environmental and social responsibility. As part of our transparent approach, we welcome visits to our production facility from our clients. At a local level we work with schools to provide teaching resources and work experience opportunities as well as food banks who benefit from bag donations to accommodate their welfare packages.
